By creating an account or otherwise using Friends in Town ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. The Service is operated by Rosenberg Digital LLC, 9452 Telephone Rd #164, Ventura, CA 93004, USA.

Friends in Town helps you find which of your friends live in or are traveling to cities you care about. It's a privacy-first social travel app: city-level only, no GPS, you control what's visible to whom.

You must be 13 or older to use Friends in Town. If you're under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have a parent or guardian's permission.

You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe. If you suspect your account is compromised, change your password immediately and contact [email protected].

You can sign in with a magic-link email, a password, or by connecting your Apple or Google account. Connecting either one also means you're bound by that provider's own terms of service for the sign-in itself.

One person, one account. Don't impersonate someone else. Don't create accounts to evade a ban.

Use Friends in Town for its intended purpose: planning travel and staying in touch with friends. Don't:

• Send unsolicited messages, friend requests, or trip invitations to people you don't know personally.

• Harass, threaten, or stalk other users.

• Upload content that's illegal, infringing, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit, or that exposes anyone's location, identity, or contact info without their consent.

• Scrape, mass-export, or programmatically extract data about other users.

• Probe, attack, or interfere with the service or its infrastructure (Supabase, AWS, Cloudflare).

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. We reserve the right to remove content or terminate accounts that violate these rules, and we review reports within 24 hours. Severe violations may also be reported to law enforcement.

Friends in Town has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This standard is strict and non-negotiable. You may not use the Service to create, upload, store, share, request, or facilitate any CSAM, to sexualize, groom, extort, endanger, or traffic a minor, or to engage in child sexual abuse or exploitation in any form.

Friends in Town is not directed to children. You must be at least 13 years old to use it (see Eligibility above), and it is not designed for or marketed to children.

Report child safety concerns in-app. You can report any user or piece of content from their profile using Report. Anyone, including someone without an account, can report an urgent safety or child safety issue at friendsintown.app/safety or by emailing [email protected].

How we address CSAM. When we become aware of CSAM or CSAE, we take appropriate action: we remove the content, disable the account, and preserve the relevant records. We comply with all applicable child safety laws and report suspected CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the relevant regional and national authorities, as required by law. You can also report suspected CSAM directly to the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org.

You own the content you submit (your name, photo, trip notes, messages, etc.). By submitting it, you grant us a license to store, display, and transmit it as needed to operate the service. We don't claim any ownership beyond that.

When you invite a friend, the message we send goes from our servers but is composed by you. You're responsible for the content of your invitations.

Inviting a friend by phone or email sends them a one-time invitation message. We don't add them to a marketing list or contact them again unless they sign up. We don't sell phone numbers or email addresses to anyone.

Calendar sync, contact import, and TripIt import are all optional and things you turn on yourself. You can disconnect any of them anytime from Settings, and doing so doesn't affect trips or friends you've already added. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what each one accesses and stores.

You can block or report another user from their profile. Blocking is mutual and immediate. You stop seeing each other everywhere in the app. Reports go to us for review. Filing repeated bad-faith reports to harass someone is itself a violation of these terms.

You can delete your account anytime from Settings → Privacy → Delete My Account. This is irreversible. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what gets removed.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Where reasonable we'll notify you and give you a chance to cure the violation.

Friends in Town is free. There's no subscription, no in-app purchase, and nothing to cancel. If we ever add a paid tier we'll say so here first, and anything you already have keeps working.

Your license to the app itself comes from the store you downloaded it from. For iPhone and iPad that's Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. For Android it's the Google Play Terms of Service. You also have to follow any other third-party terms that apply, including your wireless carrier's.

Rosenberg Digital LLC, not Apple and not Google, is solely responsible for the app, its content, and any support for it. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. Any claim about the app, whether it's product liability, a failure to meet a legal requirement, a consumer-protection or privacy claim, or a third-party intellectual property claim, is ours to handle, not Apple's. If the app fails to conform to a warranty, you can notify Apple and Apple will refund what you paid for it, which for a free app is nothing, and Apple has no other warranty obligation.

Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of that license agreement and may enforce it against you.

You confirm you aren't located in a country under a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you aren't on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

We may add, change, or remove features. We may also update or discontinue the service. We'll give reasonable notice for changes that materially affect functionality you depend on.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We don't guarantee that data shown about other users' trips or locations is accurate, current, or complete.

Friends in Town is a tool for staying in touch. It's not a substitute for verifying plans with people directly. Always confirm with your friend before showing up in their city.

To the extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) US$50.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California.
